BioMedInnovations (BMI) announces the presentation of an abstract at Digestive Disease Week® May 21-24, 2022, in San Diego, CA, by Dr. Gerond Lake-Bakaar, a member of BMI’s Medical & Scientific Advisory Board.
The Digestive Disease Week® is one of the world’s largest gatherings of specialists in gastrointestinal medicine. Dr. Lake-Bakaar presented his team’s findings regarding oxygen-nutrient mismatch: a novel concept to explain the mechanism of action of obeticholic acid in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. Dr. Lake-Bakaar’s research was undertaken in partnership with BMI using the company’s CaVESWave® organ and tissue perfusion platform.
